Have you taken mediation training and need to complete your practical experience?

We provide practical supervised experience to newly trained mediators in two ways.  The Ontario Association for Family Mediation requirements are for 100 hours of supervision, 80 of which can happen in a Simulated Role Play course.  For information on taking some of your required hours in that course, please visit INSIGHTful Mediation Training for the available course dates.  To apply to work with clients and obtain your additional 20 hours, please call us at 519-946-0808 or email us at admin@bfc-mediation.com.

We have limited spaces available for supervised practical experience and one other option is advertising for and obtaining your own files which can be administered by us and provide you with a supervising mediator, allowing you to complete your practical work  experience.

Please note: Applicants in our internship program are advised that it may take some time for a file to be ready, and that their availability must be secondary to the needs of the clients.  For this reason, it can take some time to complete your requirements.  We provide a great deal of mentorship during this time and effort in finding the right files for you.  Refunds are entirely discretionary and will depend on the compliance with the program requirements, timing, and other factors.
